Matt Osterman, founder of Propellant Films, is an award-winning filmmaker best known for his feature films, Hover, 400 Days, and Ghost from the Machine. His debut feature, Ghost from the Machine, premiered at the Fantasia Film Festival and had an amazing run on Netflix. He followed that up with 400 Days (SyFy FIlms) – a polarizing puzzle film starring Brandon Routh, Caity Lotz, Ben Feldman, Dane Cook, and Tom Cavanagh, and was hired again by SyFy Films to direct Hover (starring Cleopatra Coleman, Beth Grant), an ambitious rural dystopian sci-fi. A few years prior, Matt produced the documentary Sportsfan which was executive produced by Jon Stewart and premiered on SpikeTV. He is a fellow of the IFP Labs in NYC, and has had projects optioned by Universal Studios and XYZ Films. Matt also worked closely with Emmy award winning and New York Times bestselling author, Dan Buettner, on the launch of the Blue Zones franchise. If he wasn’t busy enough, he co-founded Northwoods Connect, a wireless Internet Service Provider based in Wisconsin, and also runs Propellant Media, a sister organization focused on creating immersive stories and campaigns for organizations. Matt splits his time between Minneapolis/Los Angeles, and is represented by Zero Gravity Management.
